Dear Fellow Peri-Menopausal Adventurers,
When I was younger, I wouldn’t ever have described myself as a hugely confident person, and never for a moment thought I would be living the life I am living now. I mean, don’t get me wrong, there is loads more I want to do than I am doing, and one day I’ll get there.
If you have followed me on social media, you may have noticed I’ve changed a little, for the better, I hope! I had pretty rubbish year last year and really cut myself off from social media and sharing who I was for one reason and another I won’t go into.
But that’s what life is about, going on that journey of self discovery. Three years ago I started my counselling journey and it’s honestly been the best investment I’ve ever made in myself, but by god there were a lot of low times, and a lot of times when I could have given everything up (in the business sense that is) but I’ve come through the other side and learnt who I really am now and what I want from life.
I’m trying not to hide my likes, dislikes, vulnerabilities and passions anymore and definitely embracing who I am a lot more!
I’ve wanted to make changes to my business for a long time, but I haven’t quite known how to do it. I’ve also been too scared to, wondering what people will think.
But this is about me now, and my journey, no one else’s!
So I thought writing this blog was the easiest way to try and put in to words about who I am and where I am at in this crazy place called life at the moment and the changes I’ve made!
As you will know, the outdoors has been a huge part of my life, even more so over the last few years. It truly is the place where I find solitude to really be in the moment. It’s a place that has helped me to build confidence, self-esteem and learn to really empower myself. I have overcome so many challenges, from going away to new places on my own, learning new skills and exploring my limits.
What holds you back from going for a walk on your own in the hills? Taking a plunge into cold water? Exploring somewhere new?
I want to help give others, like you, these opportunities.
Why do I want to work with women who are at that peri-menopause stage of their life and above?
Because I don’t think there’s a huge opportunity to explore new things with likeminded women the older we get.
I’m at that stage in my life so I completely understand the challenges and things that our body is going through. And I want to give you the opportunity of these exciting possibilities, self-discovery, and the beauty of exploring the great outdoors.
If you're like me, you've reached a point where you're eager to break free from the confines of routine and embrace the unknown. I want to build a community of likeminded women who are ready to explore, learn, and grow.
This is your invite to embark on a journey of empowerment and outdoor exploration.
Our bodies may be changing, but our spirits remain vibrant and full of life.
Imagine exploring somewhere new, swimming in tranquil waters or watching the sunrise from a mountaintop. Picture yourself connecting with other women who share your aspirations, fears, and dreams.
In our community, age is just a number, and the bonds we create will be fueled by the exhilaration of new experiences and the understanding that comes with this unique phase of life.
Whether you're a seasoned hiker or a complete beginner, this community welcomes you. It's about taking that first step, both outdoors and on the journey to self-discovery. It's about setting intentions, conquering fears, and celebrating victories—big or small. And it's about embracing every facet of ourselves—the strong, the vulnerable, and the beautifully complex.
So, let's lace up our hiking boots, secure our backpacks, and step outside together. Let's create a space where we can find inspiration, encouragement, and the reassurance that we're not alone on this transformative journey.
Are you ready to explore the outdoors, challenge your limits, and build connections that last a lifetime? If so, join us in igniting the flames of adventure, empowerment, and growth. Together, as women we'll embark on a path that leads to not only breathtaking landscapes but also to the depths of our own potential.
Let's step out of our comfort zones and into a world of endless possibilities.
